【China Network】The State Council: From September the Purchase Tax of New energy vehicle shall be exempted from for three years

        According to the report, li keqiang, the state council premier, chaired a state council executive meeting on July 9, and decided that the new energy vehicles are exempted from the purchase tax.The Meeting decided that from September 1, 2014 to the end of 2017, the vehicle purchase tax shall be exempted for those three kinds of new energy vehicles permitted to sale (including import) in China. They are electric vehicles and qualified plug-in hybrid (including journey increasing model)electric vehicles, and fuel cell energy vehicles.

        The Meeting stressed that the development of new energy vehicles is the important measures for strategic transformation of the transportation energy and the promotion to the construction of ecological civilization. It is of great significance for the implementation of drivers for innovation, the promotion of energy conservation and emissions reduction, the pollution prevention, the stimulation of domestic demand, the cultivation of new growth points, the realization of the "win-win" industry development and environmental protection to support the development of new energy vehicles industry.

        The Meeting decided that from September 1, 2014 to the end of 2017, the vehicle purchase tax shall be exempted for those three kinds of new energy vehicles permitted to sale (including import) in China. They are electric vehicles and qualified plug-in hybrid (including journey increasing model)electric vehicles, and fuel cell energy vehicles.The relevant departments shall formulate and publish the catalogues of vehicle models to make more people choose environmental-protection way to add energy to sustainable development.
